A vibrant new Mural is coming!
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of a stunning new mural at Winmalee Village, created by local artist, Mandy Schöne-Salter aka MAN.De. This vibrant artwork is a celebration of the natural beauty of the Blue Mountains and a testament to the power of community-driven art.
MAN.De, a Blue Mountains resident for 17 years, has poured her heart and soul into this project, inspired by the region’s unique flora and fauna. Her murals are not just visually stunning, but also serve as a reminder of the importance of conservation and our connection to the natural world.
The mural features seven incredible elements, chosen by MAN.De and the students of Winmalee Public School, who worked together to identify the native species that make our region so special. From the majestic Waratah to the playful King Parrot, each element is a tribute to the incredible diversity of the Blue Mountains.
Through her artwork, MAN.De aims to inspire a sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural world, and to encourage us to take action to protect it for future generations. As she says, “Today we are more disconnected to our natural world than ever before. Through my artworks, I want to highlight the important relationship between nature and humans by painting local flora and fauna in an urban environment.”
